Indiana Man Charged With Indecent Exposure Against Uber Driver

A 22-year-old man from Gary, Indiana, has been arrested and charged with a misdemeanor after allegedly exposing himself to an Uber driver during a ride on October 6. The disturbing incident occurred while the rideshare driver was en route to the Lake County Community Corrections Kimbrough Center in Crown Point, Indiana.

According to the Indiana State Police, the driver was taking the suspect, Isaiah Malik Johnson, to the corrections facility when the situation escalated. Authorities say Johnson, who was seated in the front passenger seat, fondled his genitals, displayed them, and made suggestive remarks to the female driver. The driver, uncomfortable and alarmed by his behavior, promptly told Johnson to exit the vehicle.

Driver’s Quick Response Leads to Arrest

After the unsettling encounter, the Uber driver immediately reported the incident to the Kimbrough Center staff, who in turn notified authorities. Following the report, Indiana State Police detectives located Johnson and arrested him on charges of indecent exposure. He was taken into custody and is currently facing legal consequences for his actions.

While the investigation is still ongoing, no further information regarding the case has been made publicly available at this time
