Video Transcript

Timberline Nolles, a woman’s mental health center in the Chicago suburbs, has faced alarming allegations of staff sexually abusing residents. Despite promising a safe and supportive environment, many women and girls report enduring abuse at some of their most vulnerable moments. The facility owns by Acadia Healthcare shut down in February 2025 following lawsuits and a US Senate
report exposing systemic neglect and profit-driven Staffing investigations revealed multiple reports to police, criminal charges against staff, and a shocking lack of state oversight.

If you or a loved one were abused at Timberline Nolles, you have legal rights and options. Survivors may file civil lawsuits against both the perpetrators and the institutions that failed to protect them. And you can also file a report against the individual perpetrators to start a criminal investigation which may result in the state bringing criminal charges. At Helping Survivors, we can connect survivors with trusted law firms to explore their legal rights and options. Should they believe you have a civil case, they will take the case on contingency, meaning there are no upfront costs to pursuing a claim. Even if the harm happened years ago or you aren’t sure what you want to do, please reach out to us today to help you explore your options so you can take the next best step forward.
