Someone that is actively experiencing sexual abuse as an inmate should absolutely report it to their lawyer. You can have private meetings with your lawyer that nobody can listen to their confidential meetings, and you should absolutely make sure that they are aware of what’s going on. There are also a variety of anonymous reporting mechanisms that are set up in prisons through various federal laws that allow inmates to be able to report what’s going on, and you should absolutely do that.
