We work with Helping Survivors to provide them with resources and content so that when they provide information to the public, they do a great job of trying to be as accurate as possible, even though the law is ever-changing. So, it’s really important to stay on top of things.
We love working with Helping Survivors, and we do everything we can to keep them abreast of what we’re doing, whether it’s cutting-edge or it’s working within jurisdictions that have a long history of laws that help people who are survivors of sexual abuse, so that they can then provide information to their audience with respect to what the most current laws are and what the state of statutes of limitations are around the country for pursuing these types of cases.
One example of how we’ve worked together on something is we talked to some of the folks that Helping Survivors, and they mentioned that there was a real uptick in what they’ve seen in sex abuse in ride shares. And so, we talked to them about how there was actually an MDL (multi-district litigation) that was opening up in California to address exactly those kinds of cases and provided them with information relating to that.
